En Ukraine, maintenir les écoles ouvertes est un acte de résistance, une tentative de retrouver un semblant de normalité, celle d’avant la guerre - avant le 24 février 2022, et dans certaines régions, avant 2014. Sans recourir aux interviews, à la narration ou aux reconstitutions, TIMESTAMP plonge dans la réalité brute de la guerre, révélant son impact sur le quotidien des élèves et des enseignants. Construit comme une mosaïque, ce film explore le fonctionnement des écoles, en présentiel et en ligne, dans des conditions extrêmes, sur la ligne de front comme en retrait, où la vie ordinaire coexiste avec un danger omniprésent. Keeping schools open in Ukraine is an attempt to recreate at least some of the normal life they had before the war - until February 24, 2022 (and in some regions even earlier, in 2014). Without interviews, narration and reenactments, TIMESTAMP provides an insight into how the war is affecting the daily lives of students and teachers. The film has a mosaic-like structure: it explores how a school functions in-person and online in these terrible times, both on and off the frontline, how day-to-day life is intertwined with constant danger.
